Sensory Team
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Drop-in clinic: Thursday 10am-12pm
Description
Hackney Sensory Team offers support services for adults who are visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing people. Working alongside the Hackney Learning Trust Inclusion Team, they can provide:
- Advice
- Sensory equipment
- Equipment and rehabilitation training
- Mobility, communication and daily living skills in response to assessed needs
The team also holds and maintains the sensory impairment registers (certification by a consultant ophthalmologist is required for visual impairment registration).
Children and young people who are visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing will receive support from the Inclusion and Specialist Support Team at Hackney Learning Trust.
